Central Studios is located on Ritchie road in
Capitol Heights next door to Central Electronics Music
Warehouse. Central Studios offers affordable studio
rates for all customers. The studio is comprised of 3
acoustically treated rooms.
Room A is the main control room for the entire studio.
It consist of two 32 Channel 8-bus Mackie studio
consoles. We offer recording to ˝” tape which is
recorded on a Tascam tape Machine. We also record to an
Alesis HD-24 hard drive for clean punchy tracks.
"For a big warm sound, we use
the Trident S20 mic pre-amp. Its warmth makes vocals ,
snares, guitars and almost anything sound very musical.

Our software of choice is Pro-tools and Cubase SX3
running on a Macintosh.
Other outboard gear includes Harmonizer H3000s, Dbx 166A
compressors, Rane, Focusrite Twin Trak Pro, BBE Bass
Pre-Amp. We are equipped with Dynaudio Acoustics BM6A
studio monitors for clean accurate mixing. Playback
monitors also include Alesis Monitor Two’s.
Room B is the live recording room equipped with a caged
5 Piece Yamaha Maple drum set. Mic’ed with Shure SM 52
Beta, SM 57’s, SM 58 and SM 81’s for overheads.
Our vocal microphones include Rhode K2 and Audio
Technica. Also located in Room B is a Fender Rhodes for
any application. All musicians listen through AKG K240
Headphones for warmth and precision. These headphones
are recommended for all professional studios.
Room C is treated for all studio purpose recording.
Percussion, Vocals, Amp mic’ing etc.
